張以利為現代小提琴以及巴洛克小提琴家,為國立台灣師範大學小提琴演奏博士、碩士以及 Longy School of Music of Bard College 巴洛克小提琴碩士。

在台小提琴師事陳沁紅教授。2014年取得國立台灣師範大學小提琴演奏博士,為師大第一位小提琴博士。在台期間舉辦多場個人小提琴獨奏會以及室內樂音樂會,於國家音樂廳、國家演奏廳、 高雄文化中心至善廳、台北巴赫廳及蘆洲功學社等演出。

於師大攻讀小提琴博士期間,受大鍵琴家蔡佳璇啟發,開啟了古樂之路。2013年赴美追隨巴 洛克小提琴家 Dana Maiben 習琴,亦追隨大鍵琴名師Vivian Montgomery、Avi Stein 以及古提琴家 Jane Hershey、 Sarah Cunningham 學習古提琴。2015年獲 Honors Competition at Longy 首獎以及 Roman Totenberg Award 獎項等殊榮。2016-2018年獲Longy School of Music of Bard College 聘為大鍵琴伴奏。

2013-2018 年在美期間,舉辦多場獨奏音樂會,包括現代小提琴、巴洛克小提琴、古提琴以 及大鍵琴獨奏會。室內樂以及樂團曾與 Harvard Baroque Chamber Orchestra、Boston String Quartet、 La Donna Musicale、Rumbarroco、Lexington Symphony Orchestra 等於北美各地演出。曾獲北美古 提琴協會(Viola da Gamba Society of America) 、Harpsichord Clearing House、古樂團 Incendium Novum 以及 La Donna Musicale 之邀於波士頓古樂節(Boston Early Music Festival) Fringe Concert 系 列音樂會演出。2018 年與拉丁巴洛克樂團 Rumbarroco 出版 Latinias in Fusion 專輯。旅外期間亦不 忘故鄉台灣,曾指導並與樂興之時古樂團演出、以及與福爾摩沙古樂團數度於台灣巡迴演出。2019年至2023年曾於馬來西亞國油館音樂廳、麻坡中化中學等音樂廳演出。

除了演出之外,張以利也活躍於教學演講,2006 年至今,於台灣各大學校音樂班舉辦多場演 講音樂會。曾受美國 Framingham State University、Boston Public Library、國立台灣師範大學、曉 韵古樂團之邀演講並演出;於 Tufts University 及 Montserrat College of Art 擔任客席藝術家。張以利目前於馬來西亞任教於馬來亞大學音樂系。

A native of Taiwan, Yi-Li Chang has been recognized by Boston Musical Intelligencer as a baroque violinist with “confident virtuosity, and blend as necessary, adding a rich warmth to the group’s sound. ”. As a founding member of the early music chamber ensemble Incendium Novum, Yi-Li performs regularly in Malaysia, Taiwan and U.S.. Yi-Li has also participated in music festivals and concert series, most recently at Boston Early Music Festival, Early Music Now, The Cambridge Society for Early Music, Amsterdam Conservatory Early Music Summer School, and the International Baroque Institute Longy. She has participated in Master classes with Philippe Pierlot, Sayuri Yamagata, Elizabeth Blumenstock, Francois Fernandez and Aisslinn Nosky among others.

Yi-Li has performed solo and chamber baroque violin and violin recitals in many well-known concert halls such as Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS in Malaysia, Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Boston University Marsh Chapel, Cary Hall in U. S., National Concert Hall of Taiwan, National Recital Hall of Taiwan and Kaohsiung Culture Center in Taiwan, among others. She has also toured with various groups, such as Incendium Novum, La Donna Musicale, Oriana Consort, Rumbarocco, A Joyful Noyse and Formosa Baroque in U.S., Taiwan, and Europe. She has also studied piano performance and composition; some of her compositions have been recognized and performed in Calvary Chapel Chinese Fellowship in U.S., Taipei Culture Center and Kaohsiung Culture Center in Taiwan.

As an orchestral musician, Yi-Li has performed with Boston-based groups such as Harvard Baroque Chamber Orchestra, Lexington Symphony Orchestra, and the Longy Early Music Ensemble. While in Taiwan, she has been a member of the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, NTNU Orchestra and Taipei Century Orchestra. She has performed as concertmaster with the Longy Early Opera Project; as string section coach and concertmaster, for Philharmonia Moments Musicaux Baroque orchestra in Taiwan, and as guest artist and coach for Tufts University Early Music ensemble. Yi-Li also invited to give lectures at Malaysian Institute of Art, Boston Public Library, National Taiwan Normal University and Shiaoyun Early Music Ensemble.

A well-rounded musician, Yi-Li’s knowledge of music goes beyond the modern and baroque violin. In addition to baroque performance and composition, her interests extend to harpsichord, which she has studied with Avi Stein and Vivian Montgomery, continuo accompaniment, which she has studied with Vivian Montgomery, Avi Stein, Dana Maiben, and Douglas Freundlich, and viola da gamba, which she has studied with Jane Hershey and Sarah Cunningham.

Yi-Li graduated in 2016 with a Graduate Performance Diploma in baroque violin, and in 2015 with a Master of Music degree in Early Music from the Longy School of Music of Bard College, under baroque violinist Dana Maiben. During her studies at Longy, she was the winner of the Honors Competition and granted the prestigious Roman Totenberg Award. Previously, she has received the M. M. (2007) and Ph. D. (2014) in violin performance from National Taiwan Normal University under the Dean of Music College, Professor Nanette Chen.


Besides being soloist and being with these groups, Yi-Li is also a dedicated educator, which she has been the faculty of Arlington Public School, New School of Music, and staff accompanist at Longy School of Music of Bard College in USA. She is now Senior Lecturer at University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
